I don't mean to be a pest but If you're going to all that trouble of
flushing, running mystery O and moving on to synthetics and an exotic
filter, I'd just be curious about my starting point. Although the first
cleaning was the time to check things out I still have a lingering
curiosity about what might show up in the wash.
I've only got about 5K on my new engine and I'm still getting some very
finite iron from my cylinder walls.
It presents itself at the oil strainer plate (you don't have one on your
water pisser) where I've hung that big magnet I mentioned in an earlier
post. (back in about November)
