What would the symptoms of a stuck centrifical advance be? I have an '85 1.9l Digijet and have heard the centrifical advance weights can sometimes stick. If they were stuck in some degree of advance, what would the next start be like? Slower cranks speeds and hard starting? If they stuck while you were running--say slowing down at a stop sign--would it cause the idle hang up higher? I am going to take a look at my distributor shortly and was wondering. The book says to lubricate something near the pick-up coil. Exactly what and what kind of grease? Jay |
