Subject: tyre report in snow & ice - tire

Well, added tire to the subject line as some don't use the proper English spelling - thought it might help archive searches. We are having an ice-hail- mush storm out here in Wichita. Got about 3" of icy mush on the ground. Have Agelis 61s (185 14Rs) on front and 185 14R Vredstein Transport snows with studs on back. Front end slides around a bit but rear end has awesome traction. good stopping power from Agelis also. Most cars and trucks were fishtailing all over the place but hippievan just dug in and went. Vredesteins are on an extra set of rims that I use for winter - summer tyres in rear are also Agelis. If you want a good set of winter rear tyres these Vredesteins seem like the best choice.
