Hey there folks, Scott Walker here. I have been on the list before, but left due to personal and professional reasons. No time for 50+ vegetarian Vanagon messages a day mostly! Now that things have stabilized a bit, it is once again time to think about getting the van on the road. That and it is parked next to my buddy's '78 Westy that he is paying me to get road ready as well. So back to the list I come for encouragement, advice, and of course amusement. I live in Augusta, GA and my van is an '82 Westy. It was a diesel, but was converted to I-4 power before I got it. It was not running when I purchased it back in '99 and has not run since, mostly due to the frankenstein conversion that was done. I plan to convert it to CIS (because it is cheap and I have a fair knowledge of it...in a perfect world I would be using SDS.) Anyway, was nice to sign back on and see so many familiar names. May is my goal, but we will see how things go.
