Okay, I've watched this thread in amusement for a couple of days now, and I just have to add my two cents' worth... First off, I'm most certainly NOT a veggie, but like Deb, I find that veggie food items work great on camping trips. My wife is essentially a vegeterian, no so much ideologically, but because she doesn't care for meat. So I can tolerate the occasional tofu dish, etc. What amuses me is that so many veggies (and as an artist, I know quite a few) take themselves SO seriously, and thus it can be a lot of fun to tease them. I don't think anyone on the list means any harm, but you can't expect to discuss what is still a fairly abstract concept to most people without a little ribbing tossed into the mix. And Deb, I have to take exception to the assertion that veggies live longer than non-veggies. Have any impartial clinical testing to back that up? And why is it that insinuations that portray meat-eaters as violent and unenlightened are so often accompanied by flowery slogans like TankGirl's pull-quote above? I guess my feeling is that assertions about being "open-minded" go both ways. If you expect others to have "open minds" about your lifestyle choice, shouldn't we be able to expect likewise from you in regards to our views? Geez... That may be a whole other can of worms... Anyway, that's enough from me. Love you guys-

JJ
