Jere,

The vent controls are confusing.

Here are some tips

For heat at your feet.....move just the second lever from the top (lever that has a blue dot on the left and red dot on the . right------this is your temp control)....the rest of the knobs should be on the left

for defrost.....turn on A/C and put all of the levers to the right

the bottom lever is for fresh air verses recirculated

the second from the bottom is the lever that controls top or bottom air distribution.......pointed left=bottom

lever pointed right=top

Good luck....this is all I can remember offhand
