Subject: Camper conversion pkg from UK

Hello from Atlanta, Ga., fellow listees!

I received the following British Email from Justkampers (which I have no financial interest in whatsoever) that has a wonderful link to a new camper conversion package. This package is now for sale for Bay Window vans, but is reportedly now under development for T3 (aka Type 25) and T4 vans.

Although we own and drive two 1981 air cooled passenger vans, we have looked at a number of Westys, some for sale...... The thought of converting one of our vans to a camper has interested us, primarily because the quality and condition of air cooled Westy Vanagons for sale is somewhat wanting. Maybe Atlanta is an area where such poor-condition-Westys-for-sale congregate---you know, the campers that have birthed a litter of puppies or kittens, the camper that is "just back from college" complete with stale beer, or, worse yet, "seed burn holes" in the upholstery....... But hey man, this van rocks!....

I have not seen this conversion package other than on the internet (uh oh) , and of course hands-on checking out would preclude my money hitting the table. I hope this fwd. is of interest!

Regards,

Michael and Christina Nichols 2--'81 Air Cooled T25's---one with sunroof

> As this is the first KamperNews of 2002 I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year. > > We are pleased to announce that we are now taking orders for our Type 2 flat pack interiors. > > After months and months of development and feedback from camper owners we are proud to be able to offer two interior packages for Type 2 owners - the "Rio" and the "Surf". > > Both interiors come flat packed with full instructions, ready for assembly and are available for Left or Right Hand Drive campers. > > The "Rio" is the full interior for anyone serious about camping in their campervan. A spacious storage unit comes equipped with a sink, gas hobs and grill and coolbox. Behind the Rock and Roll bed is a hanging wardrobe unit, useful cubby holes and a roof mounted storage unit. When the bed is not in use the freestanding table makes your seat into an eating area. Foam seating/bedding is included but comes uncovered so you can customise your interior by upholstering it yourself. > > > The Rio interior is available to order now for delivery in the 3rd week in March 2002 for £1495 inc VAT. > > The Surf interior is aimed at those who like to use their campers for day tripping or do not require so much storage. It includes the spacious storage unit, including sink, gas hobs and grill and coolbox and is designed to be mounted on the bulkhead behind your front seats. You also get a full width Rock and Roll bed so your camper is also equally useful for overnight stops. As with the Rio, the interior comes complete with precut unupholstered foam. > > The Surf interior is now available to order for delivery in the 3rd week in March 2002 for £995 in VAT. > > 0% finance is available on both of these packages (subject to status) > > For those not wishing to purchase a complete package, you will be glad to hear that the interiors are modular and we shall be offering these modules for sale seperately. Once we have caught up with our backlog of requests for interiors we will announce the prices on the site. > > Pictures of the Rio interior fitted into a camper can be found at http://www.justkampers.co.uk/news.shtml > > Best regards > JK > >
