If my '85 Digijet stalls after the first initial start, it sometimes will crank much slower and is difficult to re-start. It cranks along time, (I have two Group 41 batteries), but slower than the initial cranking speed. What would cause it to crank fast and start, but then crank slower the second time? It cranks faster with the pedal to the floor and does eventually start with the pedal down. It seems like it is working harder to crank on the re-start, like more compression. Maybe the valves have pumped up a little from the first minute or two of running before it stalled? Is there anything electrical I should check? The starter is new and the batteries (two Interstate 41's) were purchased last summer. It has done this on several occasions. It has never not started, but has come very close a few times. Jay |
