Jeepers, sounds just like my 1981 Basic Camper! And it's a pretty basic Vanagon, as well: no rear wiper, cheap wall paper throughout, no factory radio or speakers, and "Boogie Woogie" upholstery, so I am told (or was that Mauie Wowie? I can't remember!). Oh, and black plastic vents, too! My 1981 Camper Owner's Manual details both the "Basic" and "Deluxe" campers.
