Stan, I have had it mounted above the transmission with a set of 5 - 12 V muffin tin fans drawing air through. Have run it for several years now. Had planned to put a Viton air barrier around the upper part of the transmission shell but never got around to it. Goes together with my remote oil filter mounting system. I usually see a 35 to 65 degree F temperature change from old numbers. This is on my '82 formerly diesel Westfalia, now running a 1.8 L 8V Digifant II system. This will be soon changed to a 2.0 L 8V turbocharged engine and I will be redoing the oil cooling system. BTW, I still also use the stock oil-to-water cooler. Frank Grunthaner |
