If you jack up the right front & remove the tire, you can look into that space from the side & get a pretty good idea of where it's safe to drill.

The other way to secure a console or whatever between the front seats would be to drill brackets into the seat pedestal instead of into the floor. I think if you slide the seat off its track you can look down into the space between the fender well & the side of the pedestal. (Might not apply to swivel seats though)
