Wow. Two posts in one day, I think I've broken my record...

We usually have the rear seat laid out in the bed configuration for the dogs (Dalmatians) to use. Unfortunately, that means there's nothing between them and the front seats (or dash, or windshield...) which concerns me quite often. Like the labs, the harnesses are a useless knot with these two, crates fastened to the floor would be great, but take up floor space. Course, I just now thought of coming up with some way of fastening the crates to the seat rails on some sort of platform. Hmmm... I need to go draw...

One of the dogs favorite things to do is jam his nose into the rear-most vent above the sliding door (vanagon content!!) and get a meager whiff of whats outside. Our friends golden tried it once, couldn't quite do it and kept falling off the seat. Amusing, in a "you gotta like dogs" sort of way.

There are several kinds of dog restraints at www.ajprindle.com

I recently got their catalog in the mail - it's a Westy lovers dream, especially if you like 12 volt appliances.
