Sure, that's easy. Replace the o-rings, the one that seals the vacuum pump into the block (probably the same o-ring used on the distributor of the gas inline 4), and the one at the top plate of the vacuum pump (on the rotary-vane pump; I haven't seen a diaphragm pump).     -Mike Moery Anchorage, AK   ---------------         ||E[__] [__]|[_]\         | =======| -   ||   * * * *( o )-------( o )= 'Ol Bessie '82TD Westy

I noticed that an oil slick is forming on the block behind the vaccuum pump.

I guess the angle the engine is mounted at along with the intermediate shaft oiling groove is causing a bit of oil to get out of the block where the pump is attached.

Is there something that can be done to minimize this mess?
