Subject: Cooling sys. help!!! please
Content-Type: text/html

<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV>HI all. I have a 87' Syncro that I just replaced the coolant temp sensor (to the gauge). The other day the needle would not move. I tested from the sensor connection forward and the gauge worked. I bought a new sensor which looks right and installed it. Lost about 3 cups of Anti freeze. I did not bleed it. While road testing it the gauge went up to right on the over heat line and stayed there. The fan did not come on (which i know works), and I had good heat. This tells me I have circulation. My first thought was I have a bad sensor (wrong calibration?). However I called the parts guy (reputable place) and he said there is only 1 sesor listed and thats it. Sooooo what do you think. Defective sensor or needs a bleed. Like I said I don't think its a bleed problem because it does not overheat and I have good heat. Also I did raise the front end up a few feet with a floor jack and hold at 3000RPM for a while. When I replaced my rear heater core a few months ago that did it for that. Not this time. Thaks in advance....</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Randy Charrette</DIV> <DIV>87' Syncro weekender</DIV> <DIV>207,000 Miles</DIV></div><br clear=all><hr>MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: <a href='http://go.msn.com/bql/hmtag3_etl_EN.asp'>Click Here</a><br></html>
