I thought nobody would ever ask! The production run on Air Cooled ended in September 1982. These vans were sold as 83 Models. Mine was purchased in May of 83 and the PO said they had the option of Water or Air Cooled from the dealer. The aircooled Westy sold for $16000.00 + vs Water cooled at about $1000.00 + extra. The 82 and 83 had the rear plastic vents. The 80-81 had the steel vents in the body panel. Picture 81 with the steel vents. http://williamwareagency.com/forsale/stanvan/81blue.htm
