"Honey, the kids look cold...." "Honey, is that maple syrup I smell..." Those control levers are my best excuse... and have been for the last 12 years.....

Why? My 86 GL Westy heats just great! After not more than a couple miles I get great heat on windshield or feet. Matter af fact after 10-15 minutes I am usually having to reduce heat.
