<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV> <P>Me too. I am a lazy slug so I leave almost everything in the cabinets all year...but then, I use it all year-round, just a little less in the winter. Usually go to St. George, UT Dec-Feb and the east desert (Moab) beginning in early spring. I appreciate the convenience of stowable space in cabinets and closet, under bench, and being able to leave the lower bed down and still have space to move around day and night. But then, it's just me so I'm not running into "others". When I stop and pop the top, any clothing in duffle I put on the upper bed area. Very roomy for one that way. Thinking of a lockable/secure stowage for use in the bin over the cab for more supplies/toys, that&nbsp;may have&nbsp;some streamline characteristics.&nbsp;Any ideas?</P> <P>By the way, just finished changing the auto tranny oil to synthetic. A no-brainer....even for me ;&gt;)&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Now I'm totally synthetic (phony?). No dripping, no&nbsp;loss of&nbsp;engine oil...nada so far. Got the tranny strainer/filter and gasket locally for about $35.00 and it arrived 5 days after ordered. </P> <P>Bob Stevens</P> <P>'91 Westy&nbsp;<BR><BR></P></DIV> <DIV></DIV><BR><BR>(snip)<BR> <DIV><FONT face="Lucida Handwriting" color=#ff0000><STRONG></STRONG></FONT><FONT lang=0 face=Arial color=#004080 size=2 FAMILY="SANSSERIF"></FONT></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>the biggest reason we wanted the cabinets was to contain the <DIV></DIV>&gt;"stuff" in the event of an accident and just to reduce clutter. It's <DIV></DIV>&gt;amazing how quickly the floor gets unusable otherwise. I use my sink, <DIV></DIV>&gt;stove, and fridge every time I go out, and they are great. I think the <DIV></DIV>&gt;fridge is big enough, especially if you're a vegetarian. I'M KIDDING--THAT <DIV></DIV>&gt;WAS A JOKE!!! Seriously, I lived in Germany for a while (the land of small <DIV></DIV>&gt;fridges) and learned how to make it work. I think resale is also higher <DIV></DIV>&gt;with the westy interior. <DIV></DIV>&gt;Now if I could only figure out a way to restrain my two labs in the event of <DIV></DIV>&gt;an accident--tried the doggie seatbelt harnesses once--yeah, right! Took me <DIV></DIV>&gt;an hour to get them untangled from each other and out of the van again... <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt;bmc :) <DIV></DIV>&gt;"Faith will move mountains, but you'd better bring a shovel...." <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; From: Doug Alcock <DOUG.ALCOCK@HEWITT.COM> <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; Reply-To: doug.alcock@HEWITT.COM <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; Date: Fri, 1 Feb 2002 14:36:11 -0500 <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; Subject: Re: Which interior should I install ???? <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; Hey David --- bet you'll get a lot of conflicting views about this. My vote is <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; go the full Westy route. <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; Doug Alcock <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; '84 Westy "BlueBelle" <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; Toronto, Canada <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; http://www.torontovanagon.com <DIV></DIV>&gt; &gt; <DIV></DIV></div><br clear=all><hr>Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: <a href='http://go.msn.com/bql/hmtag2_etl_EN.asp'>Click Here</a><br></html>
