The SP1000 is a perfect size for the battery box under the driver side as it will not require any modifications whatsoever. However, when I tried to compare the stats on the web they do not list information which is easily compared.

Does anyone who knows about batteries know if the SP1000 really is as robust as the Optima? Does it compare favorably? Better? Not as good?

The optima information states that it is used for campers, boats and RVs and the Stinger states that it is used for audio applications.

Has anyone done any useful research that would help us all decide which to use as a camper auxiliary battery? If they are truly comparable the stinger which would not require any alterations or fuss to the battery box would make paying a few dollars more worth it.
