Subject: TiiCo Oil Pressure
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Hi- 2 weeks ago I installed VDO Gauges in our TiiCo equipped '88. Volts, Oil Temp., Oil Press. I know that there were a few messages posted a short while ago about high oil pressure in TiiCo's. The List generally thought this was no big deal. Our O.P. has run @ 80 psi even at idle until warm. Today is the first warm day around here for awhile. On the highway I glanced over and saw the O.P. gauge pegged, off the scale. I'm guessing over 100 psi. That's gotta be too high. Questions: where is the pressure relief located? Is it in the oil filter indicating a bum filter? At what pressure do I start worring about blowing fittings, blowing the filter or damaging the pump?

Thanks as always-

Gary
