I have am continuing my exploration of an 87 syncro westy. As I previously stated, it has 77000 miles on it, the original engine and drivetrain. My heads were leaking by 80K, so that concerns me, and I am not sure when the syncro driveline starts to loosen up and need attention. Any estimates of what kind of repairs beyond heads are ahead and the cost? The AC isn't working, and the power steering has a leak. What do you think the value is...full Westy, said to be in great shape...no rust, no tears inside...all complete? Kelly Blue Book says $9745?
