On a slightly related note, I was watching the 'Charlie's Angels' movie this
past weekend, and there's a scene where the Angels go to a guy's house and
sing a polka song on his doorstep...They arrive in a dark blue pre-1986
Vanagon.
I realize that this is rather detached from the line of Vanagon discourse,
but I thought it was kinda cool.

To add my 2c, I like the newest VW ad more than most that I've seen in the
last year or so. I've never been able to see the exact features of the new
bus in that tiny shot we get at the end of the commercial, but due to it's
large (compared to the "road" it's on) boxy shape, I'd already assumed it
was either the T5 (Eurovan replacement) or the "new Microbus".
