Nope, not a Diesel, it is under powered enough already. It came with AC, but
the previous owner disconnected it. I can't wait to see how little power it
has after I get the AC connected again.

From my Bentley's, it does not look like the pin outs that matter to me (fuel,
alternator, oil, etc.) are different between the 82 and the 85 WBX. My
Bentleys stops at 85 so if anyone has information on the pin outs for
connector T14 on an 87 I would be glad to know what they are.

From my comparison between the 82 speedometer cable connector and the 87
instrument cluster speedometer, it looks like they connect the same way with
some sort of cheap plastic clip. So it looks like I can use the new
speedometer.
My trip odometer is just the simple 3 digit indicator, reset by a push button.
Did the 85 speedometer cluster have any special features different from the
81? As I mentioned, mine has six connections from the foil pcb. I am not sure
what they do as my 85 Bentleys does not show these connections. Maybe they
connect the trip odometer to the digital clock display?

Yes that is what I thought. I think it might just be easier to run it for a
couple of months with an electric motor to reset it.
Thanks for the suggestion on the tack wire. My westy does not have the heater,
but I am on the lookout for one. Did you install yours or did it come with the
van?
