The circle goes under your spark plug on number #3 cylinder. The sender (the round terminal is a thermo couple) it emits a minute amount of current to power the CHT gauge (do not put 12v to this gauge). Red wire positive other wire black to negative on your gauge. It is recommended that you not lengthen the wires that come in the kit. If you lengthen them ....... make solder connections. Stan Wilder
