If it is a clunk with an occasional creaking, check your center driveshaft U-joints. A failed U-joint is usually very obvious, although, I had a bad one on a Syncro which could not be detected until I removed the driveshaft. Once removed, the needles dropping out of the U-joint left no doubt as to what was amiss. Rich |
