Hey Frank, you forgot the "vehicle motion indicator light" to remind the
driver to look up at the road once in a while! : )

Subject: Re: gauge recommendations
What a tasty question! I have:
(in the heater air cover) oil pressure, oil temperature, battery voltage
taken at the fuse panel and switched, battery voltage taken at the
output
terminal of the auxiliary battery and unswitched, coolant pressure gauge
tapped at the coolant reservoir tank.
(in the dash panel same height as radio, mounted on either side of dash)
vacuum gauge (left), combination Exhaust temperature gauge and cylinder
head
temperature gauge.
(in the instrument console) air/fuel gauge mounted above the headlight
switch.
(to be added with Turbo Audi 3A engine) Cyberdyne fuel pressure gauge,
manifold boost pressure gauge, air temperature gauge monitoring air exit
temperature from intercooler, oil temperature in auxiliary oil scavenger
sump, and fuel trip computer to monitor fuel economy, injector duty
cycle,
knock sensor timing retard onset.
(external to dash) Altimeter, barometer, body axis tilt horizontal and
vertical, left and right air spring pressure monitors, and to be added
with
Turbo 3A ... G-tech accelerometer, recording on road dyno.
(in the mirror) digital compass with exterior temperature monitoring,
switches with sensor in refrigerator.
(additional sensor warning lights integrated into dash instrument
cluster)
cruise control active light, low speed fan on LED, high speed radiator
fan on
LED, oil level warning light - main crankcase, and to be added - oil
level
warning light in auxiliary scavenger oil sump (warns of oil flow
backup), and
turbo timer cooling circuit active.
Probably missed a few. Haven't been able to get to the Valentine 1 or XM
radio yet. Daughter broke the sensor for "tacky noise masquerading as
music
in the rear". The SWMBO bad mood sensor, turn off at next gas station or
else
sensor still in development. The "dogs just took a leak" sensor is
frustratingly non predictive!
