Since the 'Second Battery' thread seems to be getting a lot of attention again, can anyone help on this one. A PO of my '90 Westy added the aux battery (I haven't traced down everything to see where the relay is, etc) but failed to move the accessories over to the new battery!! Everything is still connected to the primary battery. Simple check for this: I disconnected the primary battery ground lead and checked to see what was still working: Nothing!!. Now my question is this: Is there a reference in the archives or on a web-site somewhere that gives details of exactly what additional wiring should be added, and what moved, to get all the accessories off the primary battery and onto the aux? I swear I found detailed info somewhere on the web in the last year, but I'll be darned if I can find it now. BTW, my previous Westy, and '85, had a solid state isolator and aux battery with everything except the starter, ignition, and cigarette lighter on the aux battery, and it worked great! Never a bit of trouble in eight years. Loren A. Busch I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure that you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. |
