Earl,

IMHO after having lost a few and trying to replace them (Stant use to make a non-locking cap) It's not worth the effort. I think as long as no one know about this and you don't hang a screw driver from the side of the van it should be fine. The only person that will know that it works with a screwdriver is the guy that is in the process of stealing you gas and its too late but at least he won't destroy your cap

The lock on my gas cap doesn't. the cap can be turned with any key or screwdriver. A replacement costs $50. What have others on the list in this situation?
