Subject: Noisy Power Steering in '85 GL
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

I checked the Archives first to see if this was one of those Vanagon idiosyncrasies such as leaky heads, etc.

I drained the reservoir and filled it up with conditioner/sealer but did not clean it out or flush the system as one member suggested. Of course, the noise gets louder as I move the steering wheel from left to right, but I guess that's because it's purging the system of air. I take it that this is not a Vanagon quirk.

Thanks,

Walter Evens Hesperia, CA, USA 2-85GLs
