If you have a Bentley, its really easy to hook up because the connectors on the back of the panel allow you to pull the wires and rearrange them in the proper order. If you have no Bentley, I will search my backups for several jpgs that I made from the manual describing the wiring. >> <snip>

John,

I believe Scot is referring to a tach for a diesel. You wouldn't have a coil to connect it to there. The diesel tach pick-up can be found in the diesel alternator. I think it's the W terminal. Not handy to me at this time.

A fellow named Martin Jaeger has a write-up on this in his diesel page. Pmail be if you want me to dig up that info. It should be in the archives as I have discussed this repeatedly.

Dakota Digital also makes an interface to connect your gas tach for diesel applications. This was suggested by Michael Sullivan. This is the route I am taking with my tach add-on in my 1.6td in my 16" Syncro. I will detail this in a how-to page when I get off my lazy butt to do it. Again discussed before and in the archives.

BenT
