hey gang- I think that I may have found a new ride for myself.

the price is right, the body is good and the mileage low- with great compression..

only problem- it's an AUTOMATIC!

I can live with that for about a week, maybe two (joking) but I know myself well enough to say that I would want to go to a 4spd.

how difficult would it be to swap out the automatic for a 4 spd on an 87 vanagon?

anything that I need to know or watch out for?
