Subject: issue with a skylight guy's skylight (not a complaint)
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Hi Everyone. I bought a beautiful skylight from the skylight guy back in 2000. It still looks beautiful. But My problem is something I need to address eventually. THe skylight doesn't quite fit right. It's as if the alignment is off by 1/4 to 1/2 inch towards the rear of the van. This means the seal in the front is very tight when the skylight is closed, and the rear section is loose enough to allow water to get in (although that never happens).

Any Suggestions?

I am thinking about drilling the hinge holes towards the front of the van more. This requires bending the shape-fitting hinge mounts to allow the slide forward and silicone, of course. But then I have to worry about the raise/lower arms lining up with the rear of the skylight. I don't want to create more probs. ANyone have a similar prob?
