Subject: Coolant guage reading hot??
Content-Type: text/html

<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV>HI I have an 87' Syncro. This started last week when I noticed my coolant guage was stuck all the way down on cold. I disconnected the wire from the sensor and put on a tester. The gauge swept the whole range from hot to cold. I replaced the sender. Now the gauge is reading on the edge of the over heat line. I took it into the shop and they fixed a small coolant leak and bled the system, but the gauge still reads high. He assured me the van is not running hot. My question is could it be the gauge itself? I think not, because it is only displaying what the sensor tells it to. Is this correct? My other thought is the wireing. Any suggestions on testing from here? I have put 2 senders in now with the same results. The sender is good!</DIV> <DIV>&nbsp;</DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV> <DIV>Randy Charrette</DIV> <DIV>87' Syncro weekender</DIV> <DIV>208K</DIV></div><br clear=all><hr>Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at <a href='http://go.msn.com/bql/hmtag_etl_EN.asp'>http://explorer.msn.com</a>.<br></html>
