I am looking at the rear seat in my 81 vanagon. Not a westie or anything, just a plain old vanagon. When the back seat folds down, it is not level with the rear deck, and in fact its a lot higher, so to make any kind of bed, I can either build a platform to raise the engine deck, (yuck) or remove the rear seat back. (foam would not help, as it would take way to much) Bentley doesn't say much, but from what I am seeing, in order to remove the back from the rear seat, I have to first pull the seat bottom, then take off the back. I am just wondering if anyone can confirm or deny this, before I go taking it all apart. Thank you all for the great advice you give. Regards, John |
