My wife was driving my '85 GL to work the other night. I had driven it all day with no problems. She said when she pressed the accelerator the car would lurch and when she took her foot off it seemed to run okay. Then it finally died as she was pulling into the parking lot and she couldn't get it started again. We ended up having it towed home. Any ideas as to what's up. I suspected the fuel pump. I asked her if she had ever run out of gas while a vehicle was running and she replied no. So I can't get any clues there. Fuel pressure at the pump is 80 psi and about the same from the regulator to the tank. Thanks again, Walter Evens Hesperia, CA, USA 2-85GLs |
