Hello fellow vanagoneers of the westy variety. Since I bought my westy, the brown paint on the stove knob and battery life panel has been slowly flaking off bit by bit. So, I think here very soon I will take it off and paint it. I wonder if any of you westy owners out there have ran into this problem? There are two pieces to paint. The main panel and the attached battery/water level gauge panel. Both have labelling. I would like to keep things stock in appearance, so I'm wondering if there are stickers out there to replace the labels? I guess I can just make these labels with Adobe Illustrator. That way I can customize the water levels to spell out the volume of water left. I can never remember what gallon range the red light can mean. Any painting ideas? I'm going to try to match the paint close as I can. Any thoughts on this? Getting the rust smoothed out for repainting is probably the hardest job. But, I haven't removed this part before, so maybe it's a bear! I'm interested in any input thanks brian 84 westy seattle
