Hi amigos: On sunday I was returning from the beach, trying to drive over a very steep hill when noticed the allmighty red light. When I had the chance to finally park the engine was already smoking (white). I had my van towed to my workshop, and made the workers open the heads, here is the report: The heads had NO oil (seems that the pump is not working), one water hose was blown and the thermostat wouldnīt work; Donīt know which one came first but Iīm sure any of those wasnīt enough to make such a damage by itself. As you can imagine, the heads are useless. one of the cylinders have 0 (Zero) compression due to a hole (size of a dime) near admision valve. WELL, now that I no longer have the engine, these are the points I need to consider: 1) I can get a Toyota LD24 diesel engine for about US$ 900.00 2) Diesel is my engine (have to save gas money) 3) Donīt know if with or without turbo 4)Any comments on a Nissan engine? 5) Which is the smallest diesel engine to move the van 6) Is it possible to also add an automatic Toyota transmission along with the engine? Many thanks in advance,
