I installed an 8 ft Catalina 2500 on my '85 Westy. Installation was easy, setup easy and quick, no complaints. This word of caution: the 8 ft version only extends out about 6 feet, not far enough. If budget permits, go with the longer version that runs to above the front door. It extends out farther when set up. The awning that was already on my current '90 Westy is also made by A&E, a model that is no longer in production. A PITA for one person to set up, but extends farther and provides better shade. This now discontinued model also provides little protection from rain getting into the awning when it is rolled up where the 2500 provided good protection. Eventually I will replace the current awning with a newer one. Loren A. Busch I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure that you realize that what you heard is not what I meant. *********** |
