Subject: 93 Eurovan install sliding window latch
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed

Hi, I just got a 93 Eurovan. the latch on the passenger sliding door side sliding window is not attached and may be broken. There are two flat plates that screw together. One is inside the window and the other is outside. That part seems pretty easy. However when I slide the latch onto the inside plate, I can't tighten the screw because the slot is blocked by the panel of the door that protrudes slightly inside the vehicle. I assume I may have to remove the panel so I can get a screwdrive into the slot or I am wondering if I have to remove the window to install the latch. If anyone has any experience or ideas I would appreciate it.
