Subject: Wasserboxer reliability in Europe

I dont know the answer to this but I did live in Europe for 30 years and my observations are:

In Europe, until recently only leaded gas was available. Until recently, they did not have the stringent emission controls that the US did. Distances are much shorter there - people drive less also because of the high cost of gas. They do not have the same climate extremes as we do, There is no Phoenix, AZ or Buffalo NY

there.

I do not believe that maintenance is a factor, Europeans get their cars serviced no more often then Americans, and the average mechanic is just as incompetent.

All this may be irrelevant, but worth mentioning.
