I have had this problem in several places on my 91 Westy: The grill behind the stove lid, the grill on the rear facing wall (of the kitchen cabinet), and the grill on the floor (under the fridge). 2 years ago, I took them all out and used a wire brush on a drill to "sand" the old flaky paint off and removed as much rust as I could. I then spray painted them all with a rust inhibitory paint and let them DRY for a week! (read instructions) I then found the PERFECT match (to my gray/grey Westy interior at my SHOE repair shop. It's called Majik (or Majic) spray paint for shoes and it comes in many colours and in several hues etc. I am sure that you will find the correct Brown colour at your local shoe repair shop.. My guys had a color chart from which I could choose (ie more than just what they stock on the shelf) The paint is great as it is meant to be sprayed on pliable surfaces (shoes) and I also used it on my head rests with NO peeling for 3 years. Enjoy, Malcolm
