Subject: Is your Vanagon as unlucky as mine.....windshield has taken hits
several times, even here on So CAL freeways

I had a small star crack in my windshield-(windscreen) on my 85' Westy, right in front of the drivers view, of course! I installed a brand new windshield ($130 no tint along top edge....more visability) along with a new seal and trim. A week later driving down the 101, I encountered a small rock which nicked the windshield in almost exactly the same spot. I decided to not fix it because it was way too coincidental......A month or 2 later, I got a larger rock to hit the windshield.....and then another. So now there are 3 small cracks on the windshield.....waiting for ding number 4. The van has such a vertical rake that it is just a huge stone catcher.......I got to get a bra....but I've got the SA Quads, and I havn't found any bra which looks good with that setup.......A custom California Car Cover Bra maybe?

Malibu Tony 85' white Westy......1.9L 6 degrees BTDC......as fast as you want to go in a Vanagon..... 78' white 911SC Targa 3.0L CIS
