Pensioner,

Neat (use of satellite technology, I mean. Hint, Hint! ). Now there is a gauge I don't have installed yet! Which Garmin unit are you using. If its the GPS V, are you using separate antenna, or just the mini version that doubles for the handheld mode? Where and how do you mount the unit? I'm designing a new instrument cluster cover so I can mount a bank of 5 additional gauges and a fuel/trip computer and perhaps this deserves a place in the design.

I have looked at the StreetPilot III with Voice, but the prices are still too extreme. The GPS V is attractive, but no voice. The Alpine, Clarion and Blaupunkt units are unattractive to me, but the Magellan 750 NAV would be ideal. I'm always on the lookout for a used one.
