Actually Ron, Steve makes Springs for both syncro and vanagons. And I for one did think you took unfair advantage of positive posts about his product. To me your posting was confusing and I thought you had his springs on your vanagon.

What a huge amount of defensiveness and useless words is going into this whole thing.

"Better than a thousand useless words is one word that gives peace." From the Dhammapada (one of my favorite quotes.)

Bottom line is that most consumers and buyers can see all the crap and are not fooled by any subtle attempts to ride on the coat tails of good feedback given to others.

I do not know either of you personally nor do I know what the Bus Depot springs would be like. What I do know is that I am absolutely delighted with the springs made for the vanagon and sold by steve@syncro.org which I recently installed on my van. I am delighted with the huge amount of free advice Steve gave me even while he has been fighting that terrible flu for weeks. I was very skeptical about the springs but absolutely amazed at how my ride has improved with superior handling around corners, a very comfortable and quiet ride and a van that is now totally level front and back.

It is easy to over react and to get defensive.

It takes great skill to be understanding.

Even when Steve "over-reacted" to some of my questions I can say in his defense that every single email I got from him had very valuable information that helped me greatly. I can see how dedicated Steve must be to go out of his way to invent a product that can improve these vehicles we love so much. I see genius in Steve's springs products. I am extremely happy to have them on my van and would recommend then hands down to anyone without reservation. And I am about as skeptical as you can get.

Steve has shown me in his emails to me that he has the ability to see beyond any over reacting and has the ability to be a gentle person. A local friend told me something relevant "sometimes artists (engineers, architects) get very protective of their work, and are too defensive to outside comments."

Believe me everyone, Steve knows he tends to over-react but he is also getting better all the time.

One day we will all learn when criticized to say what Milarepa the famous Tibetan yogi said "Thank you for telling me. Is there anything else I should know?"
