the headlights are still working and if i understand correctly, the load
reduction relay is in the main fuse panel....i checked this and the fuse is
fine.  so, are you saying that there is a short in the ignition switch?  can
it be checked or should i just order a new one and install it?  do you know
how difficult the process is?
