Volks, i just wanted to share a fix i came up with yesterday. My sliding door lock would not open/close when i turned the keys in the front doors, so i took both sides loose from the door/pillar to look for corrosion, none present. Then, I held the two pieces together as they should be when the door is locking/opening/ and turned the passenger door key..........It worked! I put everything back together and turned the key, nothing. I adjusted the sliding door up about 1/4 inch, and all is well. The door had come out of alignment with the pillar, thus the little plungers were not making good contact in the areas they needed to. |
