A few months ago, I shopped around for a new windshield to find a range of prices from $125 to about $600. Just specify LOF or PPG glass and do some calling. I ended up paying $132 out the door. They would have even come to my house for that price, but I thought with the inclement weather I would get a better job at the shop. When I went to pay for the work, the secretary at the glass house said she had given me a quote for the wrong van and the Vanagon was a bit more. Even before I could begin to demonstrate how obnoxious I could be, she said she would honor the original quote. The difference was 5 bucks! Rich |
