There is no way that plastic housing is coming out until you do this. Then...... Cut the thin strip of plastic that goes under the heater outlet completely out. That way you won't have to remove the seat to retighten any fittings after the job is done and all buckled up. Once every thing is back together you won't notice that little bit of missing plastic.
