Thanks for the advice. Though buying something from them here I don't know. I called looking for the gaskets to change the oil and was told that for anything from an aircooled I would have to order the item. This included the drain plug crushable gasket. I know that my 85 Jetta used the same thing so I can't imagine that they do not have it in stock.

I just guess that the parts guys only know about the new crop of cars, as that is what they sell and service. I will try though.
