Another valid point is: if I do blow up my subie motor, I can get another for $600 or so. Hmmmm- rebuilt 2.1 is about $3500. $3500 divided by $650 = 5.385. So, for the price of one wbx, I can buy 5.385 Subie motors. Gotta like the math on that.... The upshot of all of this conversion nonsense is this: as long as we keep as many old Vanagons on the road as possible- WHO CARES what the prupulsion unit is! Massey Furgeson,Jet turbine, Flux capacitor< I would do whatever possible to save these classics....... Brian 83 1/2 Urabus
