Vanagonites and Syncronauts,

This evening I posted pictures in the Syncro group files section showing
the 15 inch steel Mercedes wheels that I bought from Tire Rack and am
currently using on my Syncro.  The tires are BFG All Terrain TA/KOs, LT
215/75R15.  From the clearance, I imagine that the 235s might have worked.

The wheels bolted straight on with a nut found easily in a number of
parts stores.  14mm holes and it worked just fine.  I'll post an
additional picture or two showing the nuts and bolt whole up close in
the next few days.

This raises the van substantially and does rob it of some power.  For me
it is tolerable, especially knowing that I will increase the actual
power with an engine conversion in the next year or so.  But I have
mainly driven an 84 Vanagon with the 1.9l WBX for since 1984 and am not
used to a lot of power.  It is in one picture for comparison purposes.
